16 years ago, this young lad started his National racing career at Eastern Creek, alongside his late father, Phil, in the Inertia XR4.
30 years ago his mother made her National debut at the same track in the Mazda 121 Challenge. Car controller of the Fiesta is Joe Sinacori, husband of Caroline Peterson who also ran in the 121 challenge. Who would have thought that a race series would lead to a lifelong friendship.
Declan and Megan would like to invite any of the ladies from the 121 series who might be at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend for the Hi Tec Oils round to pop over to the Vurgel Autosport - Performance Parts & Solutions/Declan Kirkham Racing marquee at the Skid Pan to say hello and have a coffee.
If you know any of the ladies, please tag them in this post: Carolyn Peterson, Melinda Price, Sue Hughes, Kylie Waldron, Wendy Gibbs, Joanne O'Brien, Paula Elstrek, Cathy Jackson, Jo Cadman, Cassandra Crisp, Kerryn Brewer, Carol Jackson, Tania Goulson.
