16 years ago, this young lad started his National racing career at Eastern Creek, alongside his late father, Phil, in the Inertia XR4.
30 years ago his mother made her National debut at the same track in the Mazda 121 Challenge. Car controller of the Fiesta is Joe Sinacori, husband of Caroline Peterson who also ran in the 121 challenge. Who would have thought that a race series would lead to a lifelong friendship.
Declan and Megan would like to invite any of the ladies from the 121 series who might be at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend for the Hi Tec Oils round to pop over to the Vurgel Autosport - Performance Parts & Solutions/Declan Kirkham Racing marquee at the Skid Pan to say hello and have a coffee.

Vurgel Autosport - Performance Parts & Solutions and Inertia Apparel are inviting you to claim your free Driver's Tee Shirt.
All you need to do is send an email to: [email protected], with the subject heading: Neon Nights Driver Tee; attach a copy of your Early Bird deposit lodgement - must be dated 31/03/2026 or prior; and a copy of your final payment lodgement - must be dated 30/06/2026 or earlier. Make sure to redact your account and branch numbers.
We will send you an email confirmation once verified. You will then be able to collect your Tee Shirt from the Vurgel Autosport - Performance Parts & Solutions showroom at 47a Peet Street, Pakenham of collect from the Vurgel Autosport - Performance Parts & Solutions paddock area at SMP during the Neon Nights event.
