Sunrise at Lakes Entrance, Victoria 🌅
There is something worthwhile about being out before most people are awake — especially when the sky decides to put on a display like this.
The morning started down by the fishing boats, with a spectacular sweep of cloud catching the first light of sunrise. As the colour softened, I headed higher for a completely different perspective across the lakes and towards the entrance and ocean beyond.
Lakes Entrance certainly delivered a memorable start to the day.

Coastal Vibez is a Central Coast photography and souvenir boutique shop. All photography is the work of local photographer Craig Stevens. Born and raised on the NSW coast of Australia, Craig’s work focuses primarily on the spectacular coasts of Eastern Australia and the surf culture. Craig is a world traveler and lover of the world’s oceans and moving waters; a location abundant with natural beauty. His preferred photography is water movement and the beauty it encapsulates; from the surrounding natural features accenting the water, to the creatures that depend on its life-giving force.

Craig’s preferred landscape photography format is panoramic. This wider format is similar to the human eye’s field of view, however, images can be cropped to fit varying sizes.

Craig’s photos capture the landscape as it is seen in the moment. Minimal editing is used allowing for the viewer to see through his mind’s eye.

All of Craig’s Landscape Photography work is available as either Fine Art Photographic Framed Prints, Canvas Prints, or Acrylic Prints ready for hanging. Custom ordering available. Coastal Vibez stocks various prints along with souvenirs that represent the beautiful Eastern Australian coastline and its surf culture.

A beautiful winter sunrise near Berridale this morning.

The paddocks were covered in frost and the temperature was well below zero, but those cold starts often produce the most rewarding light. Within minutes the sky transformed into layers of soft pink, orange and blue before the sun climbed above the horizon.

Moments like these are a reminder that some of nature's best displays only last a few minutes—but they're well worth getting up early for.

A winter morning in Berridale.
The sun was trying its best to break through the fog, casting a soft glow across the frost-covered paddocks. Standing there in the silence, it was one of those moments that reminds you photography isn't always about dramatic light—sometimes it's about atmosphere, patience, and simply being present.
This was the perfect beginning to a day exploring the Snowy Mountains.
