The 5th of May is recognized as Children’s Day (formerly Boys’ Day) in Japan. The holiday celebrates children’s health and happiness and the history dates back to the samurai era. The most iconic symbol of Kodomo no hi is the carp, known as ‘koinobori’. They are flown as kites outside families’ homes to show the strength and perseverance of carp swimming against the strong current.
Our prints on our Yuugen shirts symbolise the scales of the carp, making the design iconic if we do say so ourselves ❤️✌🏻

We are about to turn 5 months! And we’re about to sell out of these rompers in a number of sizes!
Remember they are a roomy fit, and the leg cuff means you get tons more wear out of them! This is a 6-12month size on Hazel and it’s roomy. She’s normally in a size 1 in other clothes, so keep that in mind when you order ✌🏻
