Hey everyone 💛

This has been a really hard post to write, but I wanted to let you all know I’ll be cancelling my upcoming stalls, including the Medieval Fayre and Pixel Expo.

With everything going on lately, especially my partner’s heart surgery...it’s really put things into perspective for me. It made me realise just how burnt out I’ve been, and how important it is to slow down and spend time with the people around us.

I think I’ve been pushing myself a bit too hard trying to do *all* the events, and it’s not sustainable for me right now. So I’m taking a step back from markets and focusing on finding a better balance 💛

That said I’m absolutely **not** stepping away from Sewtaku! I’ll still be here, just shifting my focus more to online releases, new designs, and some really fun things I’ve been working on 👀✨ (including some D&D-inspired goodies coming soon!!)

Thank you all so much for your support, patience, and understanding, it truly means the world to me. I’m really excited for what’s next, just at a slightly slower, more intentional pace 💕

Fabric mail dayyy ✨📦

A big delivery landed today and I’m officially stocking up for the Guildford Medieval Fayre this May 🏰
That means you’ll be seeing some brand new styles, plus a shift into more medieval/fantasy-friendly designs including non-anime prints making their debut 👀

Think textures, tones, and vibes that feel right at home in a fayre setting. I’m so excited to start cutting into these and turning them into something special.

✨ A little selfish sew moment ✨

I finally took some time to make something just for me and I’m honestly so glad I did 🥰

This pinafore dress was made using my Jurassic Park cotton woven (because dinosaurs are always a good idea), and the Twig + Tale pinafore dress pattern as the base. I added front pockets, some sneaky hidden pockets (because all dresses deserve them), and shortened the length a little to suit me better.

It’s comfy, practical, and makes me feel like I could casually wander into the veggie patch and discover a dinosaur at any moment 🦕🥕✨

I’m excited to share my current 2026 event plans so you can start planning where to find me next year! I’ll be aiming to attend a mix of conventions, toy fairs, and medieval-inspired events, bringing along my anime-inspired creations, cozy handmade pieces, and some new designs I’m really excited about 💖

🗓️ Confirmed events:
• March 8 – Collector Zone Toy & Hobby Fair (Joondalup)
• May 17 – Guildford Medieval Fayre

🗓️ Planned / awaiting confirmation:
• March 28–29 – Oz Comic Con (Perth) (dates confirmed, awaiting stall confirmation)
• Collector Zone Toy & Hobby Fair (June) – date TBA

This is just the beginning, I’m in the process of applying for and confirming additional events throughout the year. I’ll continue updating this list as the calendar fills out, so keep an eye out for future announcements.

💗 February Update
I’ll be taking the month of February off to support my partner through a major surgery and recovery period. During this time, Sewtaku will be a little quieter while I focus on family. Any updates around orders, releases, and reopening dates will be shared clearly ahead of time.
