This is how I began my love of embroidery 12 months ago. Julie over at Clever Poppy is running a free online embroidery workshop series. All you do is sign up and she will send you the pattern and a clear list of the equipment you need. Then you can watch and take part in the 5x 1hr lessons. Due to time difference (she is in NZ) I didn’t do many of the sessions live but I stitched along to each and by the end of the workshop I had my first hoop finished and had learnt quite a few stitches and techniques. I can’t recommend it enough and as I mentioned, it is FREE!

There would be no Jessie Makes pretty without all the amazing books I listen to along the way. Before kids I would sit and read any chance I got, now those chances are few and far between so instead of reading I now listen and I absolutely LOVE IT. Somehow I have managed to get through 54 books this year (plus I did re listen to a few others as well), which is 5 up on last years list. For every dress I sew myself, polymer clay earrings, embroidery, scrunchie, dolls outfit, first birthday dress, felt Christmas tree and everything else I make, know that I am in my element of creating and living alongside in a story world. Thankyou to for such an amazing library and to all of my favourite authors this year for their new and old books!

BEST! Why just have a scrunchie when you can having coordinating earrings AND a matching skirt!?!
