How many times do we need to teach a grown adult how to pick up a box? 😂

Manual handling training. Again.

Training absolutely has its place. But repeating the same generic training year after year and expecting better safety outcomes probably deserves a rethink.

Sometimes improving safety isn’t about telling people what to do one more time.

It’s about making the right thing easier to do in the first place.

The procedure probably wasn’t followed because it was 40 pages long.

So naturally, we made it 45.

That should fix it. 😂

Sometimes when something goes wrong, our instinct is to add.

Another form.
Another checklist.
Another sign-off.
Another five pages to the procedure.

Then we wonder why people switch off.

More paperwork doesn’t automatically mean better safety.

Sometimes the better question is:

Why wasn’t the safe thing easy to do in the first place?

Remove the friction. Make the expectation clear. Give people what they need, where they need it.

Because if we want better safety behaviours, maybe we should spend a little less time adding pages…

…and a little more time making safety easier.

But first, the bloke actually needs to have the PPE. 😂🌪️

We can’t control what happens once it’s on. Apparently neither can the Squeezer.
