About the creation of Gloucester Lane:
Gloucester Lane is the creative baby of Alice Osborne. I've always loved sewing/creating. At the age of 11, I made my first pair of callots (shorts) for Girl Guides without any help or training - I just followed the pattern/instructions and away I went. Another great love of mine is children. I have always dreamed of having a family for as long as I can remember and I am now the proud mum of two adorable and cheeky cherubs. After having children, I decided to stay at home to raise them and I resigned from my research career. Whilst I adore this time at home, I have developed an itch to explore my creative side. After much soul searching and market research, I decided to create Gloucester Lane, inspired by Beatrix Potter's 'The Tailor of Gloucester'. Gloucester Lane is my way of bringing my two great loves together to create adorable products for adorable children and mummas.
