💵 WHY CASH IS IMPORTANT TO INTIMATE APPARELL 💵

Dear valued customers,

From 1 October 2026, new payment rules mean businesses can no longer add a surcharge to EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard payments.

Every card transaction comes with a processing fee. At Intimate Apparell, we process hundreds of transactions each month, so even a small fee on every payment quickly becomes a significant expense.

Our stock all comes into store with a Recommended Retail Price so that makes it hard for us to increase our prices so this will hurt.

When you choose to pay with cash, there is no card-processing fee attached to your purchase. This means more of the money you spend stays with our small, family-owned store instead of going towards payment fees.

We are not against card payments—they are convenient and an important part of modern business. We simply want our customers to understand that accepting card payments is not free for small businesses.
