Less metal = less cost, but that also = less impact and we ain’t here for that. After the first sample, we added more spheres.
The colours weren’t hitting either, so it was back to the drawing (colour) board. Burgundy, as it turns out, was an excellent choice. Every colour has been dyed to a very particular Pantone colour.
At first, we hoped to go for brushed brass finish, but decided to switch to shiny.
We also changed the shape of the loop above the sphere. All these details matter. A lot.
Expensive looking gold colour, approved!
Size and shape, great. Matte effect and gold plating colour, not. This lead to 2 more rounds of samples before we nailed it.
And then we really did nail it.
