Sew Darn Ezy Handmade Craft Store

Sew Darn Ezy Handmade Craft Store Our styles and craftsmanship speak for themselves. A place where quality is the most important thing We now live in a throw away society. Garry is the timber man.

It truly is very heart-warming to see the appreciation that many people now have for "Handmade". It is the understanding that you are purchasing something that is very unique and made with the love that only the creator can give. When we purchase "Handmade", I believe we are making a stand against the mass produced store bought product. We have, over time, been conditioned into buying product that

is designed not to last more than a few years, sometimes less. This way we are continuously re-entering the stores to replace. Our planet is slowly decaying from the rubbish, we are throwing away. Handmade product will give you back the quality and individuality that was so prominent in all our lives so many years ago. Our mothers and grandmothers knew how to create something beautiful, like a new dress or baby toy, often from the T-Shirt or jumper with a hole in it destined for the rag bag. Or a beautiful decoration for the table centre from a piece of string and a fish hook. Our fathers and grandfathers would make our furniture and wooden toys, baby’s cradles and the like. These skills need to be kept alive by our generation. And only by purchasing and supporting "Handmade" can we ensure that our children and their children have an understanding and appreciation of these basic skills. It is when they see mum or nanna in the kitchen making or baking that they realise they too can create with their hands. Here at Sew Darn Ezy we take pride in everything we make and create. Between the three of us there is always something interesting and new. Cindy loves to make the Softie Toys for your precious little ones. She makes them totally kid friendly with new soft fillings, in a pet free enviroment. Cindy also designs and makes table runners and place mats. She also draws the pictures for our Indoor Cubby Houses with designs for boys and girls. Our Nursery Paintings are also one of Cindys creations. After being scared by a bursting hot water bottle Cindy started to make our Rice heat packs. They are made from all natural ingredients and are a very economical and safe way to warm the winter beds. Being a builder he is totally hands on. He makes our Timber Pencil Cases and beautiful Jewellery Boxes. It's not just timber products, I can't keep him off my Embroidery Machine. He loves to draw his own pictures and see how they can be made into pretty designs. He does the embroidered beach towels and special day towels like Mothers Day. He also embroiders our Shopping Bags.

I am learning about bag making at the moment. Little Moo Designs patterns have been in hot rotation, specially since there is a denim challenge happening in their group!
I adore this Tilda, Windy Days. It’s so soft and feminine. I paired it with an old denim skirt from the back of my wardrobe and I love the contrast of the two.
Here is the Stained Glass Tote and the Social Stitchers Project pouch reduced and slightly modified. I love it when Two Green Zebras send me gorgeous fabrics to play with.
