Hi everyone, after a very different couple of years Stitch With Me Needlework and Embroidery is set to get back on track.
I have to stress that I am NOT a retail shop. Classes are by appointment only as numbers are restricted.
However, my studio is a very peaceful an interactive place to stitch and learn.
I have an extensive library and infinite examples of all kinds of embroidery techniques. Also crochet, tatting, bobbin lacemaking to name a few.
Set on 7 acres and approx 5km out of Renmark it is a great stop if you are travelling.
Photo is my most recently finished project. It is mostly 2 strands of silk on a fine canvas. I was running out of a couple of colours so had to resort to a mix of one strand of silk with one strand of stranded cotton... I challenge you to find the switch 🤗
Until next post, Happy Stitching

Hello and Happy New Year from Stitch With Me Needlework. This Australia Day long weekend marked the end of the school holidays and term one will kick off tomorrow.

Stitch With Me Needlework (SWMN) is also looking forward to a new year of guiding you through many pleasurable hours of stitching.

So I am going to start this year off on a brand new footing and introduce myself (for those who do not know me).

First of all this is not a shop or retail outlet and classes are by appointment only.

I am Deb Richardson and I live approx. 5km out of Renmark, South Australia. SWMN's home is in River Wren Cottage, a large studio dedicated to teaching and guiding students through projects of their own choice and also houses a fairly extensive needlework library.

Classes can be for :
1. groups or individuals
2. help with a new project (either a kit or pattern and materials of choice)
3. if you have attended a formal class somewhere and are now stuck and need help to progress with your project
4. if you have an unfinished project (or several!) in the cupboard that you feel it is time to continue with.

I have also developed somesomn of my f my own beautiful projects in techniques as Deerfield, Pulled Threadwork, Sardinian Knotted Lace, Crochet, Bobbin Lacemaking to name a few.

All you need to do is gather the materials from the requirement list and I can get you started.

I can teach you dressmaking and give unlimited tips for a great outcome and how best to use your sewing machine.

I am also very passionate about getting overlockers out of cupboards. Many are sitting there unthreaded and destined to stay there BUT help is available as they are such a useful tool.

Classe are also a great opportunity for Mums and/or Grandma's to spend some quality time with their daughters/granddaughtsers stitching something special

**I only teach children 10 years and over and accompanied by an adult**

For anyone travelling through the Riverland, stop in for a few hours break and stitch with our groups.

Stay tuned and in the meantime call me and let's make 2020 a creative year.

Happy New Year to all my friends and happy stitchers.

2019 is a year of change for me as my gorgeous studio is now up and running (albeit for a few finishing touches but at least fully functional!)

Over the Christmas break I dug out a few ufo's of my own that I would like to work on finishing.

I know that many of you have projects that are put away that need to be shown some light from the cupboard!
I am passionate about helping you continue with these projects.

I do the construction of needlework projects so if you have some embroidery, smocking or tapestry that is finished but needs to be made up then I am your person.

Stay tuned for class information/stitching updates and please do not hesitate to call if you need some stitching help.

Kindest Regards, Deb
