One of the things I love most about custom millinery is the journey.
It often begins with a photograph of an outfit and a conversation about colour, scale and style. From there, ideas are sketched, materials are selected and a piece slowly takes shape in the studio.
This custom design was created for Kerry Auld to wear at Royal Ascot
After working together to complement her outfit, the finished piece travelled from my studio in Australia to Kerry in the United States before making its way to the UK for Ascot.
There is something incredibly rewarding about finally seeing a piece come to life exactly as imagined and being worn at such a special event.
