El 07 de Octubre del 2012 fue declarado "DÍA NACIONAL DE LA MARINERA" por LEY N° 29921, reconocida por ser practicada en gran parte del territorio nacional. Es un baile de pareja suelta con pañuelo en mano y el mensaje principal es el enamoramiento.Por ello la Escuela Internacional de Arte y Folclor Peruano - ARFOLPERU, tuvimos la iniciativa de organizar el 1ER Festival por el Día Nacional de La

Marinera - "Pañuelos de Oro" (Perú) y para ello contamos con el respaldo del Ministerio de Cultura y la Municipalidad Provincial de Trujillo.
