Today. Mixed bag. 4.2 long log x 5-600. But cut with 1.5 barkline, so will get 2.5 slabs. That's OK but it's not 4.2. Then the centre split.
Second. Cut a strange log, but got good colour and interesting 2.8 x 7-800 x 40 slabs.

But there is still some demand for squares, even for turning.
Resine colouration is popular. But with a log like this, it is not needed.
And Mal still mucks around with timber. in his sheds, rosewood.

Fat and ugly. I've just had a log that matches my personality.
Got 2m x 1.1 x 55 slabs, last cuts were a bit ugly and it took a lot of shaping to make it fit the mill. New chainsaw blades make like almost bearable.
