Our Story

My name is Martine and I purchased Wilson Equestrian from Talina at the end of 2019. I had always loved the brand that Talina developed and when I saw she was toying with the idea of selling I knew I had to make it mine! I have always loved the brand and the horsiness burns deep in my blood so its a great way for me to stay connected to my love and passion of horses.

I am a mother of two, have my little pigeon pair and have a wonderful husband who has finally succumb to my horsey ways after 14 years! We are involved in Pony Club and the Australian Stock Horse Society regularly competing at local events around SEQ. My husband and I work full time as well as having this business. I have worked in the medical device industry for 10 years and my husband in air cargo for the past 8 years. We are a super busy family unit and live on a beautiful little property atop a magical mountain in South East Queensland. We have 2 horses, 2 budgies, a dog and many chooks that complete our little fam bam. Wilson Equestrian was put together after continually shopping for Equestrian Products and finding it difficult to find both Clothing and Tack that was classy yet fashion forward and most importantly a reasonable price! Also clothing and equipment that stood the test of time (i.e. falls, p**p, daily wear and tear that was much more than just normal clothing). After many discussions with horsey friends over long distance phone calls, trips to large horse shows including Show Jumping, Eventing, Hacking and Dressage, clinics and chatting with other Equestrians, one thing became clear. There was a lack of affordable, co-ordinated horse and rider wear. There was the need for fun colours whilst staying stylish and a requirement for equine products that were eye catching, comfortable and would have you “standing out in the crowd”. So Wilson Equestrian took off! Wilson Equestrian products have been tested by myself Martine and the Wilson Equestrian Team Riders to ensure we provide you with clothing that is superior in comfort, flexibility, movement for both rider and horse.

Our commitment moving forward it to continue to develop the brand and make changes to what is currently stocked. This plan will take time but I hope by the end of 2020 we will be heading in a new direction with a freshen up of Wilson Equestrian!
