As we open the doors for the very last time tomorrow, I’m having a little moment. So many memories have come flooding back.
These photos will forever hold such a special place in my heart. Looking back at them now, it’s so wild to think that in those moments I had no idea just how big this little side hustle would become, or the impact my passion would have within our local community, let alone right around Australia.
From the very first lot of stock arriving in our home, to our first photoshoot, our first pop-up shop, opening the store, and seeing social tags of our gear out in the wild honestly the list goes on. It’s been one heck of a ride and I wouldn’t change it for the world. A whole lot of love, laughter, hard work and unforgettable memories.
Hyde & Sticks was always about more than just clothing. It was about sharing a piece of where I come from. Every piece was designed not only to withstand the outback lifestyle, but to carry a part of my upbringing and the values I was raised on, brought to life through something I was so passionate about creating and sharing with you all.
A dream that started back in 2021 quickly changed my life in the best way possible. The opportunities, the events, weekends away doing what I love with my family, and most of all the customers who turned into friends it’s something I’ll forever be grateful for.
A few little favourites from over the years:
Favourite product: Baseball Dad Cap & 90s Retro Cowgirl Tee
Favourite collection: From The Yards
Favourite photoshoot: Down Yonder Footy Short shoot
Favourite thing about owning a business: meeting you guys and sharing my upbringing, passion & appreciation with you
I’m so incredibly proud of what Hyde & Sticks became. Hopefully this is just a goodbye for now, not forever, as we step into our newest chapter of becoming parents.
So much love,
Mads ###
