This week I sewed myself a little set to wear to the circular fashion talk at AFW, and now I think it’s going to become something I wear all the time!

I dyed a beautiful white tablecloth embroidered with flowers a deep charcoal blue and turned it into this gorgeous set.

Styled it in more of a streetwear way with some Nike dunks and adidas long sleeve.

This set got a lot of love on my stories, I’m working on bringing the skirt online as custom made to order design. That way i will cut and sew the dress to fit you!

This week I got to sew a custom look for to wear to an industry dinner for Australian Fashion week! Can’t wait to see the final look on Friday 💛

Because of how alot of these beautiful tablecloths are stored, they can end up with really tough deep oxidation stains despite repeated soaking. These tablecloths can be so clean but a stray pin might be left in amongst the linens in a box causing stains this one! Sometimes the only option is to embroider something new over the stain or patch it, here I used some of the remaining tablecloth scraps. I love creating with vintage textiles, as it’s unlikely it would be seen on a table again with stains like this one. I am able to make repairs and allow the gorgeous embroidery to be seen and appreciated once again.

First market (!!!!)

Fia Lucia will be at the Love Local Makers Market this Saturday 09/05 from 8:30 till 1! At the Blue Mountains theatre + community hub in Springwood.

Bringing a small batch of slow-made and one of a kind pieces! We have heaps of new pieces, including our comfy barrel pants and scrunchies, which won’t be online till after the market 💛

Come by, say hi, and see our pieces in person. You can find us outside near the entrance to the building ☀️
