Strathalbyn has always felt like home to me. While I was born here, I spent most of my childhood growing up on the Yorke Peninsula. Still, some of my happiest memories are of school holidays spent back in Strath with Nan and Pop.

Days spent at their electrical store, helping behind the counter or doing Nan’s ironing out the back. Hours upon hours running and riding around the local tennis courts, trips to the lolly shop with Pop, watching their greyhounds race, and visits to the Robin Hood, where Nan had her own seat at the bar and always enjoyed a stout.

Nan always made sure we were well fed, tucked into bed and felt right at home. It was a wonderful way to grow up.

Of all the things that have made Strathalbyn feel like home over the years, Nan has always been part of the reason.

And isn’t it wild that 30-odd years later, I’ve ended up with a shop of my own, overlooking the very same park I spent so much of my childhood playing in, just a stone’s throw from their place.

Perhaps the retail bug was planted a little earlier than I realised.

There’s no doubt Strathalbyn is home for us now, but my goodness, a piece of what made it home has gone with her.

We’re back with a bang!

Our very first event was aptly named CIAO, CICLO! and we’re circling back to our roots for one last shindig for 2026.

If you’ve been around a while, you know the drill by now. And if you haven’t, here’s how we roll.

We open after hours, dish out some sweet savings, pour a few beverages and bring in a live DJ. Because if there’s one thing we know how to do, it’s bring the fun back to shopping.

And this time, we’ll also be graced by one of the state’s BEST photographers, Fashion-forward editorial photographer in Adelaide, to capture the evening in all its glory.
