At just 19 years old, Chloe Mandijarra walked the 2025 KAFTA - Kimberley Aboriginal Fashion Textiles Art runway in her own designs. She was back for 2026 with new designs and a new model.
Before joining the Women’s Hub, Chloe didn’t know where to begin.
“I had no clue where to start. The Hub helped me step-by-step — from learning how to design, plan and sell, to believing in myself.”
With support from the Hub, Chloe created her clothing brand, Blue Desert Eagle Designs proudly walking the runway in pieces she had designed and made herself.
“That was one of the proudest moments of my life. I never thought I’d be standing on a stage like that, doing something I created for myself.”
Chloe has also turned her artwork into a homewares collection, printing her designs onto cushions, and travelled to the Ord Valley Muster where she sold her work and shared her story with real customers.
Today, Chloe works every day, is applying for her own home, and has become a role model for younger women at the Hub.
Her journey shows what can happen when young women are backed, believed in, and given the tools to bring their ideas to life.
