Over the last decade the su***de rates in males increased from 16.2 deaths per 100,000 population in 2011 to 18.6 in 2020.

👩🏽‍🍼🤰🏽Peri and post natal depression 🤰🏽👩🏽‍🍼

Let touch base on this subject.
I had my baby just over a month ago while I must admit my pregnancy was pretty”easygoing” with very little complications (nothing to be concerned about anyways).
However,our baby boy decided that he needed to see the world 5 weeks before he was meant to and was in NICU for 10 days. While in NICU I started to fall in that postnatal depression, the mum guilt took hold of my mental health, driving back and forth to the hospital every day and sleeping on the world most uncomfortable pull out bed. It all took it toll.

Today 5 weeks have past and I read a post on the premie page about a lady going through very similar situation but her Bub was born at 27 weeks, and I commented about talking to the social workers that they have available at the hospital, she told me she was was scared.

So I’m here to ask people whether your going through post/ peri natal depression or depression, what are you scared of when going to talk to a professional about your mental health?

My heart breaks!
This is one of the many many reason we decided to do what we do!
To not only help men and women with depression anxiety, self harm and su***de but to help kids too.

My thoughts go out to this family that is ever so needing all the love and support and kindness they can receive while going through not only the loss of a child but one who thought it would be easier life without them in it!
