ABOUT THE FOUNDERS | VAN LAUR founders, Laine van Deventer and Lucy Laurie, began their journey on New Years Eve. Instead of locking lips at the stroke of midnight (don’t get us wrong a couple smooches may have been shared) we decided we were done with our 9-5’s. We had a burning desire to find a line of lingerie that was sexy, beautiful, delicate, chic, naughty, kinky, comfortable, and affordable that supplied accessories and toys too. Realising there are so many women and men out there that are embarrassed to express themselves sexually and ashamed to talk about self-pleasure we envisaged VAN LAUR. Quitting a 6 figure salary and declining a sought-after promotion was the start of us turning our dream into a reality.
