We fashionistas have the delightful and her book to thank for shining a big bright light on the conversation around that was well overdue. I was lucky enough to attend her book launch of Rise & Resist a few years back and it was such a delight to be in the room with such passionate women - hungry for both luscious and invigorating fashion - but also hungry for industry change.
I personally take my social responsibility around sustainability and the topics of very seriously as both a conscious consumer and a Fashion designer. It has taken a while to find a niche offering where I can be of service in both creativity and sustainability............. and that's how I came up with " Fashion Flipping" !! Its been done with houses to make something old - new & beautiful again, and in light of current environmental and economical changes and challenges, we really need to get more resourceful with what we have available and FAST. All while satisfying our delightful Fashion alter egos with fresh, fun and new inspiring looks - created from what we already have.
