Some big news to share with the CarapartsRV community.
I'm Tom, and I feel incredibly lucky to be the new custodian of CarapartsRV.
In the photo, I'm standing in the middle of Alan and Janette, who built CarapartsRV into the trusted business so many of you know today.
Alan and Janette are stepping back from the day-to-day as they begin a very well-earned retirement. The good news is they're not disappearing completely. They'll be staying on as consultants while my team and I get our feet under the desk and learn the ropes.
I've been working with Alan and Janette for some time, and when the opportunity came up to continue the story they've built, it felt like one I had to take.
We've got plenty to learn, but we're set on continuing the legacy they've created. Looking after our customers will always be at the heart of what we do.
The business has moved from Melbourne to Newcastle. With Alan and Janette moving up here and Newcastle being home for me, it made sense to have the business nearby. It's not goodbye forever to Melbourne though, and we'd love to return in some capacity down the track.
We're also excited to be opening our first CarapartsRV retail store at Kotara in Newcastle, with plans to welcome customers by the end of August.
In the meantime, we're growing the range and making sure we've got the gear caravanners and adventurers actually need. With a little help from our good mates at Altapac, you'll start seeing even more products joining the range over the coming months.
