Happiest heavenly birthday to the man who made us The Cookie Clan.

Today, you should have been 35.

We’ve been reflecting on the beautiful life we shared, the incredible kids you gave us, and the memories we hold so deeply in our hearts.

I know you would have been absolutely pi***ng yourself laughing today the boys kicked the footy over the fence behind your resting place at the cemetery and we had to trespass into the local school farm to get it back. Your little girl refused to get out of the car because she thought she’d get in trouble… but the boys, well, they’re just like their dad laughing and cracking jokes while searching for the ball buried deep in a blackberry bush. Mum to the rescue, of course.

We miss you every single day and we’ll never stop talking about the beautiful times we had together.

I hope the beers are cold up there in heaven.

From a girl who hated school and all the BS that came with it..
who dropped out and chose to study something she truly loved instead

From someone who completely underestimated the juggle,
but kept going through babies,
through becoming a wife,
through losing my husband, Cookie,
through becoming a solo mum,
through re finding love..
through being really sick for the past 18 months…

All I can say is this
keep going
keep trying

Life can change in a heartbeat.
It can break you, reshape you and test you in ways you never imagined.
But sometimes, quietly it also calls you back to yourself.

The career I had before my whole world changed is calling me right back.
And inside this pretty big box is the next chapter
the next journey of my beautiful little home salon.

Proof that even after everything…
you can begin again.
