Do you know the story of the Jojo Romper? We wanted to make the romper that we could never find. A piece so extraordinary that every mother would keep and treasure this piece, a keepsake of their little ones littleness.

So we set about crafting a piece that was worthy of the special sentimental value. From the hand pin-tucking to the 3mm perfectly folded edging on the sweetly ruffled collar. The result is a darling piece sure to be an heirloom. Made from 100% pure linen, designed to live in your heart.

My last baby turned 2 on Sunday and I was a puddle!

That last photo…who can relate!

I gifted her a Nell Dress in Olive and some special pieces from our soon to be released Chapter 2.

I hung them on little velvet hangers and tied a little velvet ribbon on each one as her Dad wrapped her other gifts in IKEA drawing paper and decorated them with Crayola pens - Locked that image in my memory!

When you receive our pieces, lovingly wrapped fully recyclable wrapping, tucked into a recycled cotton drawstring book bag, that shares how she is supporting the Malala fund, working for a world where every girl can learn and lead - you also get to fill in this little card, a reminder of the story behind the dress.

I thought there was no better sound than one of my girls laughing, until this morning, when I heard them in stitches after making each other laugh as they played. Its the littlest moments in childhood that make the biggest memories.

I remember when my youngest was born, the Obstetrician asked me “What will her name be?”

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking moments of my life. Through gulps of tears I managed, ‘Jojo’.

She loved Lenny Kravitz, the Breakfast Club and us. Her story ended too soon but we push to continue her legacy.

She was beyond kind, funny, she loved books, she was going to be a journalist and tell the most extraordinary stories.

Looks like we will all be ultimately successful in 2023 🫶

In 2022 we took some huge risks, we poured our hearts, souls and time into LSOY and while we are just beginning we are already in love with the journey.

We know we have a stunning product, crafted by a collection of wonderful women. We are loving the planet and making sure everything we do leaves the world better than we found it. And we are teaching our daughters, and yours, that you can make a difference with the choices we make and that being smart and creative and kind is indeed beautiful.

Thank you for your support, for cheering us on, for your messages, your photos of your girls in our designs, for choosing LSOY. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for 2023, but at the centre of it all will indeed, be love.
