A wintry blast is on its way for QLD/NSW.

A deep area of polar air mass will move up from the south and will combine with an area of low pressure leading to cold conditions across Queensland and New South Wales with some areas looking at temperatures below -2°C across the ACT and into Victoria.

A cold front will create a cold snap across SEQ and NENSW and will produce a large drop in temperatures over a 4hr period with it expected to drop to 12°C over Brisbane and will get as low as 6°C over the Wivenhoe outlook and will get down to 1°C over the Granite Belt including Warwick and Stanthorpe.

Areas into Victoria and the ACT will see snow throughout tomorrow and into Friday morning with accumulations expected to reach 15cm over Victoria and around 7cm around Mount Kosciusko and will accumulate to around 20cm over Central and western Tasmania. Cheers Darcy

QLD/NSW Its About To Get COLD 🥶

A decent low pressure system and an area of Polar Air will create cold conditions across NSW and Southern QLD and will also combine with a cold front leading to create a cold snap throughout Thursday night.

This polar air and the approaching frontal system will create an environment for snow development across Victoria and into the ACT including far southern areas of NSW and we may see falls of around 15cm around areas just ENE of Melbourne and around 10 - 15cm expected around Canberra.

Areas into SEQLD will see a cold snap on Thursday night due to the approaching polar air mass and frontal system and we may see chilly temperatures across the Granite Belt, Darling Downs, Northern Tablelands, Brisbane and areas of the Wivenhoe outlook with areas across SEQLD looking at temperature between 1°C and 9°C with the Tablelands looking at temperatures exceeding -1°C.

Its time to get hoodie's on In SEQLD and the Tablelands and time to get the snow jackets on in Southern NSW and Victoria beacuse it's about to get COLD 🥶. Cheers Darcy

There are signals that you watch out for, but to suggest that the graphic I have posted is going to happen is false. There are elements to watch through the medium range that I have discussed at length at www.weathermatters.org through the past week. New update in the weather video this evening from 7pm EST.

This is going to be likely, a tough year. My job is to call it as I see it and not to cause unnecessary hype. I have been through many drought cycles in my career.

Since the advent of social media however, we have many weather weeny pages just spraying misinformation like a jet stream of bu****it, and this is so unethical in a time when many people are getting desperate.

So again, make sure you are plugged into reputable pages, weather information is going to be in high demand this year. Make sure you are getting information that helps narrate the weather information well and that it makes sense for you and your needs.
