LET’S TALK LITTLE FEET 👣🤎
Not every “barefoot” shoe is automatically the right shoe for every little foot.
One thing I personally struggle with is super-stretchy, sock-style shoes that don’t hold a child’s foot securely.
For babies and toddlers learning to walk, we want their little feet to move naturally — but we also want their shoes to actually stay with their feet as they move.
👣 A roomy, wide toe box so little toes can spread
👣 A flexible sole that moves with their foot
👣 A secure fit around the heel and ankle
👣 An adjustable fastening to help keep the foot in place
👣 Lightweight and comfortable without being loose or sloppy
And here’s the important bit: secure doesn’t mean stiff.
Little ankles generally don’t need to be rigidly braced. We want natural movement while making sure the shoe isn’t sliding, twisting or allowing their little foot to get lost inside it.
That’s a HUGE part of why we’ve spent so much time developing our Jelly Welly shape — wide where little toes need space, flexible for natural movement, but designed to stay securely on those busy little feet. 🤎
Because there’s a big difference between giving a foot freedom to move and a shoe simply being too loose.
Little feet deserve more thought than just what looks cute. 👣✨
