The Chaar (Four) Laavan, a central aspect of the Anand Karaj ceremony, encapsulate profound spiritual meanings. These four hymns, composed by Guru Ram Das Ji, guide the couple through their spiritual journey together. Each Laav signifies a distinct phase of the union, highlighting stages of yearning, selfless devotion, and harmonious union. The Laavan emphasise the idea that marriage is not just a worldly bond but a divine connection, where the two souls come together to walk a spiritual path. In this sacred ceremony, the Chaar Laavan serve as a reminder that a successful marriage isn't merely about worldly pursuits, but an opportunity to elevate each other spiritually while journeying towards a union with the divine.

A harmony of ages in fabric form, Sahibajot’s bespoke gown is inspired by the ‘Mughal jama’ and takes cues from old-world aesthetics whilst adding a modern twist. Crafted from iridescent dupion silk, the fabric is a canvas that comes alive with intricate hand embroidery of silk threads, beads and Swarovski crystals. This ensemble, like Sahibajot herself, beautifully navigates tradition and innovation, creating a harmonious symphony that celebrates her individuality.

Sydney bride Maneeka’s bespoke bridal ensemble was the perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Hand-dyed to a rich red hue, Maneeka’s custom-made handloom moonga silk lehenga with a zari banarasi jaal was adorned with delicate hand-embroidery to tastefully elevate the ensemble. The incorporation of elephant and dog motifs throughout the embroidery added a distinctive, modern and deeply personal touch.

For the regal groom, we created a complimentary, embroidered shawl in the same deep red hue as the bride’s lehenga.
