CAPTAIN’S LOG // BRB.

The Wolf and the Bear have officially gone off-grid for a few days to recharge our internal batteries. (Turns out coffee isn’t a sustainable power source. We checked.)

This does mean you won’t find us at The Rocks Markets this weekend. We know. Deep breaths. Hug someone.

The good news? Our online store has refused to take annual leave. It’s still working around the clock, patiently waiting for you to convince yourself that one more tee, hoodie or beanie is actually a sensible decision.

We’ve left strict instructions with the website:
- Be fast.
- Look good.
- Don’t judge anyone for buying “just one thing” and somehow ending up with four.

We’ll be back on deck before you know it, slightly tanned, considerably more hydrated, and ready to continue our mission of making unnecessarily comfortable adventure gear.

Until then...

Live long. Shop online. Try not to do anything we’d have to explain to customer service.

Meet the Pepper 1/4 zip, officially adopted into the Wolf Bear Furniture ecosystem.

At this point it’s basically no longer a sweater. It’s part of the living room. It’s draped over the armchair like it pays rent, gets “borrowed” constantly, and somehow ends up being the first thing you reach for when winter starts acting personally offensive.

Some people say it gives “grandpa on a coastal renovation weekend.”
We say: thank you. That’s elite energy.

We’ve heard the reviews:

“Looks like something my dad wore in 1997”
Correct. Your dad had taste.

“It’s giving corporate fisherman.”
We’re listening… and oddly intrigued.

“It makes me want to move to a cabin and stop replying to emails.”
Honestly, same. That’s the point.

But also:

It makes winter feel like less of a personal attack.

Sydney weather lately has been giving strong “wet sock” energy.
Not raining hard enough to stay home. Not dry enough to enjoy literally anything.

So naturally, we’ve all become emotionally attached to hoodies again.

The Icon Hoodie was built for this exact kind of drizzly nonsense. Oversized fit. Heavyweight warmth.

This is what it feels like to be present.
No scrolling, no noise, no thinking about what’s next. Just this moment, exactly as it is and realising it’s already enough.

Somewhere along the way, we got sold the idea that being “rich” looks like more. More money, more things, more status, more everything. But out here, it’s obvious that’s not the full story.

Real richness is time that isn’t rushed.
It’s being with people you love and actually being with them.
It’s space to breathe, to move, to get a little lost and not mind.
It’s sun on your skin, dirt under your feet, laughter that comes out of nowhere.

The kind of wealth you don’t need to earn or prove or post about. The kind that’s just… there, waiting for you to notice it.

This is the stuff we forget to value, even though it’s always been the most important.

Maybe being rich isn’t about what you have.
Maybe it’s about how fully you can be right here, right now.

Sustainability doesn’t always mean buying less clothing. Sometimes it simply means buying better clothing.

Pieces that are made well. Pieces that are worn over and over again. Pieces that become part of your life, not just part of a season.

For us at Wolf Bear, sustainability is about creating products that last. Quality fabrics, thoughtful design and construction that can handle years of adventures, washes, spills, campfires and hand-me-downs.

But it doesn’t stop at making something well. The real shift happens when we bring back the mindset that clothing can be repaired. A small hole doesn’t mean the end. A loose stitch isn’t a reason to throw something away. It’s an opportunity to fix it, keep wearing it, and give it a longer story.

If brands make things properly and people feel empowered to repair and care for them, suddenly clothing stays in wardrobes longer and out of landfill.

That’s the future we believe in, one where the things we buy today are still being worn, loved and passed down by the next generation.
