Queen Letizia looked as resplendent as ever as she welcomed Pope Leo XIV to Spain. 🤍
The Queen of Spain was pictured alongside King Felipe VI and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, as they officially welcomed the Pope to the Royal Palace in Madrid.
During a Holy Mass led by Pope Leo XIV in the Plaza de Cibeles, Queen Letizia chose a breathtaking white dress by Self-Portrait. For the occasion, she invoked the rare royal privilege known as “privilège du blanc” — the tradition allowing certain Catholic queens to wear white when meeting the Pope.
Known as the White Tailored Taffeta Midi Dress, Letizia’s elegant £450 dress featured a polished, feminine silhouette. Royal fashion fans may notice that the Princess of Wales wore a similar Self-Portrait style at Wimbledon in 2025, though Catherine’s version came in a softer butter-yellow tone with a different skirt design.
Two royal ladies, two beautiful Self-Portrait looks.
Who wore it better — Queen Letizia or Princess Catherine?
