Our baby sale has finished and we’re onto toddler sizes for our $5 sale outside the Erskineville store!

We are restocking the sale rack and baskets today so there will be even more bargains to be discovered from today onwards. Pop into the Erskineville store to have a rummage through the sale before it finishes 🌝

A non-negotiable for us when designing our stores was creating a little space for kids to play.

We’ve found that play spaces don’t need to be big or elaborate to be high reward - kids are just keen to play!

At Summer Hill, we love hearing kids playing shops and cafes in the cubby, while at Erko they’re always cooking up imaginary feasts in the play kitchen. We also hear so often from parents that they have a perfectly good play kitchen at home that their kids never touch… but somehow the one in the shop is endlessly exciting. Always the way!

We want our stores to feel welcoming and fun for the whole family and found that having a little space for kids to play makes for a much better experience for everyone 💛

There’s been lots of new people joining us on this account lately so we thought it was time to re-introduce ourselves. We’re Jess and Bec, friends and co-owners of To the Moon Kids 🌙

Jess is mum to 7-year-old Ronnie and 4-year-old Louis (aka Boo), and in her past work life owned Daisy’s Milkbar in Petersham with her husband Jake. Bec is mum to 5-year-old Cleo and 2-year-old Frankie. Before To the Moon, she worked in fashion production and ops. She’s a DIY queen and recent camping enthusiast. As friends and business owners, we’re the yin to each other’s yang, with one of us being chronically Type A and the other Type B. (We’ll let you take bets on who is who.)

Some of the philosophies that guide us in everything we do are:
✨ A great outfit can make for a great day - for kids and adults.
🛝 Outings should be mutually enjoyable for parents and kids - hence the play spaces in both our shops.
👟 Kids should be dressed for childhood - we curate our racks with play-ready pieces
♻️ Sustainability should be as convenient as possible. We all want to do good, but life is crazy and time is precious. We want to make keeping kids’ clothes in circulation as simple as possible.
🤝 Connection and community are key. We love that our shops have become places where people can pop in, have a chat and feel welcome.
🌈 Kids’ clothes are for kids. You’ll find no boys’ or girls’ sections in our stores.
🧠 Fashion isn’t superficial. It’s self-expression, and when you’re dressing your kids, you’re also dressing their future core memories.
🫶 We’re for everyone who loves a little one. We find a lot of kids’ brands speak directly to mums, but we’re here for the Dads, grandparents, carers, friends and everyone else who loves shopping for the kids in their life. (Fun fact: we’ve had people come in buying for their dog, cat and even, once, a puppet.)

We’ve been in business for almost three years now. We’ve met SO many wonderful people, learned so many lessons and seen an almost unreasonable number of cute kids and baby clothes along the way. If you’re new here, thank you for joining us for the ride. And if you’ve been here from the start, thank you for all the support along the way. 🥹🌙

Another week wrapped up and we’re ready to start the next!

Last week Zara, The Animals Observatory and Twin Collective were among the top 10 brands in at Summer Hill and Rock Your Kid, Goldie & Ace and Polo Ralph Lauren were among the top 10 brands in at Erskineville.

The Spend & Save rack of baby basics out the front of our Summer Hill store was very popular last week and is stocked up for the week ahead if you are looking for Wondersuits and other basics.

The Summer Hill store is also VERY well stocked with shoes at the moment.

The $5 sale out the front of our Erko store is still running, right now it’s all sizes newborn to size 0 but will be switching to toddler sizes soon so if you’re after bargains in baby sizes head to Erko before it ends!
