The calm before the cook. The chefs are ready for a huuuge Taste Port Douglas Food & Drink Festival weekend ahead, celebrating 10 years with custom uniforms and accessories. No oysters will be safe.

Break time with Erik Shane Ortolani, executive chef at Itō Restaurant • Sydney / ESCA Group • Sydney Hospitality. Erik’s not the type of chef that avoids the kitchen when off the clock (he even cooks for his dog), so he well and truly deserved to take a seat for un momento.

Styling options aplenty in the black unstructured suit. The blazer’s wide lapels open the neckline and make room to play with what’s underneath. Mix, match, mean business.

Beer lovers won’t be going thirsty on their visit to Newstead, an inner-city Brisbane suburb. Formerly an industrial area, it’s now known for its ever-growing restaurant and brewery culture. At the forefront is Range Brewing, so we pulled them aside to get some other recommendations on where to eat, drink and be merry around town.

Middle of winter proof of life.
1. Chore jacket embroidery for our mates Boire.
2. World Cup stress and anxiety.
3. Just enough time spent up north to visit August West End.
4. Lime Bike video making (yes we’ve seen the strong comment section on helmets).
5. Parked in by a Groodle.
6. The type of logo made for a market bag superlupo.au.
7. Happy and distracted.
8. Our Rocky apron at the recently opened adelaides.kitchen.
9. Photoshoot assistants at the ready.
10. Parked in by a black dog (breed unknown).

We recently got shown an 8-year-old cotton/linen Rocky apron.

While the design has changed a little in that time, the fabric composition is the same.

Products are normally photographed at their newest and freshest, but the beauty comes from the years of wear, patina and character. And all the memories.

If you treat natural fabrics with a bit of love, they’ll go the mile for you. No polyester needed, thank you.

We watched in amazement as Janice and Kevin of kimskoreandeli welcomed all their customers by name, as their baby (strapped to Kevin’s back) put on an adorable smile for the entire lunch time rush. This is service, people.

We’ve been back for their Korean bbq salad bowls several times since filming. We’re in love.

The Bespoke Uniform Guide is not a catalogue.

A catalogue says “here’s all of our options”. That’s not the case. This is a curation of pieces made to inspire and accelerate the custom uniform process.

Where our bespoke service starts with endless possibilities, the Guide starts with proven ones.

You’re already making hundreds of decisions when opening or evolving a venue. The Bespoke Uniform Guide isn’t designed to add more decisions. It’s designed to remove them.
