The high-waisted pants are almost here, just in time for The Design Exchange Market market in Ballarat this Saturday and Sunday!
I have designed them in my usual soft cotton-linen, cut for a relaxed fit with a wide, straight leg and featuring an adjustable tie-waist, pockets, frayed seam lines, and printed with an oversized 19th-century botanical.
The wide cuff is designed to be adaptable - hand-sew or machine baste up for a casual three-quarter length by day, or let it down for a sleeker look by night. Doesn’t matter if you sew it up messy (or even just safety pin it up) because the fraying hides the seam! You can take them down and sew them up and take them down again ad infinitum ☺️
The tie waist is very flexible - I can actually wear the size L quite happily if I want a really wide palazzo pant vibe. In this picture I am wearing the medium on the left (cuff kept long) and the small on the right (cuff sewn up). I am a Size 10, 176cm tall.
