I’m so proud of for this beautiful feature in the latest issue of 💖
Chelsea has worked so hard to create such an inclusive, kind and accepting beauty business.
I feel incredibly privileged to have worked with her to create some of her space and am so thankful for the opportunities she has given me to flex my creative muscles and learn new skills.
The pedicure station featured top left page was created in collaboration with Chelsea and with Dylan making the structure and custom mixing the incredible pink cement sinks! I upholstered the pink velvet and glitter vinyl bench and hand tufted/upholstered the back board, including hand covered buttons to perfectly match the pink velvet fabric.
I’m so honoured to have been given the opportunity to help create something so spectacular.
The article also features photographs of an incredible mural by .mcneil.art and some cute cross stitch by as well artworks by so many talented artists.

These are just a few of the friendly faces that came down to the Bushfire fundraiser and crafternoon myself and organised yesterday!

There are so many people not pictured here that made today what it was.
Thank you to everyone who donated items, worked for free, helped set up the salon, dropped off fabric donations and helped Chelsea and I in any way.
Thank you to everyone who came down to the salon and either gave a donation for a service or gave up their Sunday to help make Joey pouches or nests for injured wildlife. I am truely amazed by how much we achieved together.
There are 200+ Joey pouches either complete or cut to be sewn and quite a few nests with many more being underway thanks to the incredible teaching several people how to crochet!
I’ll be organising another crafternoon once Wildlife organisations are able to reassess what they are in most need of.
Through manicures, pedicures, hair cuts, blow waves and donated items we raised $4,264!
We know how little awareness and support is being given for First Nations people who are in desperate need which is why they will receive 1/3 of our proceeds. This will help cover relocation costs, basic amenity, refurbishment of damaged property, replacement of items and much more.
We also are deeply heart broken over the millions of animals that have lost their lives, homes, habitat and family. We fear for the future of our beautiful native animals and know they need continuous support where we can give it. We know our contribution of the 1/3 of our fundraiser will give some relief to
Lastly our Firefighters who have risked their lives and volunteered time away from their family and friends to fight this horrible battle. I can’t imagine what trauma they must be going through and will continue to remember for the rest of their lives. We are so glad to be able to donate the last 1/3 portion of our fundraiser to them.

I am so thankful for the community that we have and to see a hopeful beam of light in a world that currently feels so dark.
We are truely in awe of the generously and kindness that has been shown 💕 @ Miss Jay's Nails And Beauty

I’ve teamed up with the wonderful to run a Crafternoon this Sunday January 11th to make items needed by the / for their ongoing battle to help animals injured in the Bushfire crisis.
We will be sewing Joey Pouches to be donated and would love your help! You don’t need to be a seamstress, there will be patterns to cut, fabric to sort and boxes to pack for shipping if sewing isn’t your thing. I’ll be giving quick sewing lessons too if your skills are a bit dusty and you’d like to jump back on the machine!
We are also taking donations of supplies needed to make the pouches and other items the Animal Rescue Collective are in need of. These are listed below. We will need volunteers to pack and sort these donations!

Miss Jay’s are also offering manicures and pedicures for donations over $20 with proceeds going to and
Please call the salon to book an appointment as there are limited spots available.
667 High Street Thornbury 11am-5pm.
Come down and help in whatever way you can. Community is more important than ever right now 💖

Craft Supplies:
* 100% natural fabrics for pouch lining- cotton, bamboo and linen. Preferably flannelette or stretchy tshirt fabric. Must not be pilling as this causes a choking risk. Fabric breathability and softness is a priority.
* Fabric for outer pouches- fleece, cotton, wool, polyester, poly cotton, terry cloth, synthetics.
* Cotton thread for sewing machines.
Each pouch needs 2-3 liners, so these fabrics are required the most.
We would also love to borrow fabric scissors, sturdy trestle tables and chairs. These items will be returned to you or you can bring your own scissors for personal use.

The Animal Rescue Collective are also seeking donations of the following items which we will be collecting on Sunday:
* Towels, sheets and blankets.
* Pet bowls.
* NEW litter trays, used as water basins for small animals.
* Animal feeding bottles and teats.
* Domestic Animal Food.
* Hanging baskets/planters, wire with coir.
* Coffee.
* Micro Porous Tape.
* Non adhesive dressings (like Melolin).
* Soffban.

Um wow, hello new followers! Thank you 💕
My name is Madeline and I’m the creator of Glamour Nanna!
I have always loved kitsch retro aesthetics, a love that I developed from both of my Grandmother’s and my mother’s collections of eclectic Knick knacks. I adored rummaging through my Ma’s costume jewellery and playing Dress Up whenever I could. This grew into a love of vintage clothing, and soon enough I found myself with more frocks that I knew what to do with because I “couldn’t possibly not buy this, I’ll never find it again!”. I started Glamour Nanna with the goal to sell preloved and altered vintage, combining my retail background with my love for kitsch aesthetics. I soon realised I found no joy in or motivation to sell to people. What I really love is putting together an aesthetic, especially super stylised and kitsch looks. I love outfits that border on costumes, looks that combine different eras and spaces that are creative and bold whilst still being functional and as sustainable/on a budget as possible.
Which is what Glamour Nanna is today and will be going forward. It’s everything and anything creatively styled. I am working towards interior design being my main work, which is becoming a reality thanks to the incredible ! Im pictured here with one of the pieces I had the pleasure of working on for her new salon. I’ll be posting more of this absolutely incredible space soon!
I also work on music videos, short films and photo shoots. I’m so excited for the future of Glamour Nanna and being able to bring mine and your ideas to life.
Also if you were wondering, yes, Glamour Nanna is a The Mighty Boosh reference. That’s my look, a Nanna that was a bit saucy in the 50s 💁‍♀️
