THAT'S A WRAP!
WHAT A FABULOUS WEEKEND!
Easter Saturday and Sunday were the
final trading days for Mauzie's Most Marvellous Vintage after 10 whole years of sharing my vintage collection in Toora.
Thank you to all the wonderful people who came to say farewell and especially to those who related their personal experiences when shopping in my little shop. It has been heart-warming this weekend to be shown photos of garments being worn to special occasions, whether it be the opera, weddings, debutante balls, music festivals, or on the stage and big screen.
I adore my customers; how blessed I am to have met so many fascinating, artistic and vibrant people.
The shop may now be closed; however, I would love it if you would continue to follow my pages on Instagram and Facebook; as even though I am not sure where my passion for collecting and creating will lead me, I would truly like to share these future adventures with you. Please keep sending your photos to me as it would be wonderful to continue to showcase photos of customers when wearing items they have purchased over the past 10 years.
I would like to thank all the business owners and friends near and far who have wholeheartedly supported MMMV and have happily displayed my colourful posters (since January) informing people of the intention to close my little shop.
A special thanks to my husband Frank for his unwavering support and to Annie who left her own vintage shop to drive from Warrandyte on Sunday just to give me a hug and wish me well.
Also a big thanks to Violet Jean for giving a beautiful live singing performance on Saturday.

ONLY EASTER SATURDAY AND SUNDAY TO GO BEFORE MMMV CLOSES FOR GOOD.
Just when I thought I had already cleared out my storeroom I found a little rack tucked behind my collection of wedding dresses.
These will be airing overnight and in the shop at ridiculously reasonable prices tomorrow.
Saturday; Violet Jean will be singing and strumming her guitar.
Sunday (final day of trading). Bubbly and chocolates will be offered to all of my beautiful customers.

Here is a photo of Violet Jean who will be coming along next Saturday (April 19) for a couple of hours to sing and strum her guitar.

I am so excited!
The first photo is of this dress being modelled beautifully by a visitor to MMMV.
The second photo is a screenshot taken from a trailer of the epic three part series
The Narrow Road to The Deep North.
This Australian drama series is based upon the novel by Richard Flanagan.
How proud I am to have supplied the fabulous people in the wardrobe department with this dress along with many other era-specific items.
I believe the series will air very soon on Prime Video.

My lucky feel-good cash register.
This has witnessed some fabulously fun times in MMMV and has been the subject of much interest and curiosity over the past 10 years.
So many people (not just children!) have taken great delight in having a go at ringing up sales from time to time.
