I have to give a little shout out to my lovely friend Miriam Jayne Pearce 🤍
We met for coffee nearly a year ago after she reached out when she saw I had moved back to Brisbane. She had made a few of my patterns, we realised we had mutual friends, and decided to catch up.
At the time, I had just come through a pretty challenging year of becoming a first-time mum, a season of postpartum depression, an interstate move, and feeling the weight of trying to keep up with all the expectations I had placed on myself as a mum, wife and business owner.
I had been praying for a mentor figure to come alongside me, and I’m so grateful Miriam came into my life when she did.
Over the past year she has generously shared so much of her own experience with me, given me advice as a fellow business owner, and regularly made time to help me work through life and business when I’ve felt overwhelmed.
I’ve gained so much from knowing her this year and I really thank God for her 🙌🏼
It’s funny to think that sewing patterns and a coffee with someone I’d never met before led to such an important friendship.
