Nepalese Goodies was founded after the massive (8.7) Earthquake in Nepal, where many people lost their lives and properties. Knowing Nepal is the one of largest producers of natural handcrafted products in the world. We brainstormed for ideas on how to help the victims of this event,

This is where the business of Nepalese Goodies began, to buy products and pass them onto the people of the world

from the affected communities thus providing a way to recover from this event. There were so many roadblocks to this idea, First how do we open and run a successful business that gives back to the millions affected by this massive culturally damaging event in all of Nepal and in the main spiritual hubs of heritage and other towns and cities. This is where the tires met the road so to speak, our team travelled to Nepal to find businesses that employed people locally to make the products, thus providing an indirect line of support to the ones affected though their workplaces. We now had the products but, we thought how do we sell them now?, this is when we started like a lot of businesses do, we started at local markets then due to the customer demand we started going to up to 8 markets a month plus pop up stores in major shop centres and opened a small permanent shop at Canvas Co working in Toowoomba at Suite 3/325 Ruthven st, till Convid-19 started where we had to stop doing the markets and pop up stores that were providing an effective indirectly support back to the affected communities needing our support. This brings us to today where we are still here and are focused and passionate as ever

Closer to home, our own communities face their own battles too.

In times of tragedy, we find our strength in community. Our hearts are heavy with the recent loss of lives in Nepal during the protest event of the Gen Z generation. 🙏 RIP to all the departed souls.🕊️🕊️

We strongly condemn the human rights violations that occurred in this tragic event. No voice should be silenced, and no life should be lost in the pursuit of justice.

This gathering is not a protest here, nor a political event, and not organised by any organisation. It is a peaceful evening of reflection — a moment to share our grief, honour those we’ve lost, and stand in solidarity with our Nepali friends and neighbours here in Toowoomba.
