Blue girls, the Gaia skirt in Azure is the one that will get ALL the questions.

I can see it now. The weather has finally warmed up, someone has suggested lunch and you want to look fabulous, but you also want to be comfortable. Because LUNCH.

Pop Gaia on with a fresh white tee. Tuck just a little bit at the front. Add your cute slides and there you are. Lunch ready.

And she’s long and floaty, so whether the legs have had their first shave of the season is nobody’s business. Shhhhh, we certainly won’t tell.

It is never too early to start thinking about soft, flowing, wide leg summer pants, and I am SO taken with this pretty colourway.

This is the Gaia Pant in Dune. Soft, floaty and just the thing for summer styling, with an easy elastic waist, pockets and that beautiful oversized floral print in chocolate and warm caramel tones.

For now, I think she would look rather fabulous with the Lola Denim Jacket in Chocolate. Then, when things finally warm up, wear her with the Studio Button Top/Jacket in Tusk. Oh yes, I can already see that combination coming together.

I nearly fell over myself when I first spied this new release from Eb & Ive’s Studio linen collection.

The Studio Button Top/Jacket gives us everything the Studio Relax Top has given us for the past few seasons, but then she goes and gives us MORE.

She’s reversible. Wear her with the buttons at the front, turn her around and wear them down the back, or leave her open over a sweet tank or tee. Wear her with linen, wear her with denim, and use the tie hem to change the shape.

Can you imagine how magic she’ll be for travel? So many different looks from one beautiful piece, leaving a little more room in the suitcase for the other things you buy for your holiday. We girls love a full wardrobe refresh before a holiday!

And of course, she’s made in that glorious Eb & Ive linen we all love.

I’m calling it now. The Studio Button Top/Jacket is going to be a new Thursa favourite.

WOOHOO!!!! Fresh new arrivals have landed at Thursa and there are boxes EVERYWHERE. 💚

Let’s start with the Maris Barrel Leg Jean from Eb & Ive.

When Eb & Ive finally do a barrel leg, you know they’ve taken their time getting it right. They’re never ones to jump on a style just because everyone else is doing it, and I am certain the Maris was worth waiting for.

I was literally selling them out of the carton this morning before I’d even managed to get them properly unpacked, so a few have already been snapped up. 😂

And they are LOVELY on.

The barrel is gentle. Not too much width through the leg, a lovely soft taper towards the ankle, and they’re a little longer than many of the barrel jeans we’ve seen. So if you’ve looked at barrel jeans before and thought they were all a bit too much barrel for you, Maris might just change your mind.

We have her in Denim and Clay.

And ohhhh, the Clay. 🤎🤍 She has my heart. Bring me ALL the creams with that gorgeous chocolate brown. I’ve already popped the Clay Maris on the mannequin with our chocolate Lola and a simple white tee and I am VERY happy with myself. 😂

Freshly unpacked and in store now, but judging by this morning, I wouldn’t leave Maris sitting on the rack too long.

We’ll be back open Thursday 10–4 💚

Annnnnd we’ll be stalking Coral St for our delivery driver 👀

Tomorrow is going to be a BIG one. New season is arriving, parcels will be ripped open, racks will be shuffled AGAIN and I expect very little actual sitting down will occur.

Keep an eye on our socials because as soon as it lands, you’ll be seeing it. And probably hearing me carry on about it too 😂

Well, this is a first. We are putting poo on the Thursa grid. 💩

No. 2 has landed at Thursa, and I suspect it may be the most useful and kindest thing we have ever put on the shelf.

Men tend to get all the blame for destroying the toilet, but let’s be honest. If you are a human, chances are you have also left a bathroom hoping nobody was waiting outside.

The huz has Crohn’s disease, so our household knows a little more than most about busy bathrooms. Anyone who shares a loo with someone who has Crohn’s, colitis or IBS will know exactly what I mean. There is absolutely no shame in a body doing what bodies do, but that does not mean the next person wants to smell it.

The huz soon saw the benefit of No. 2 in the studio loo next door at Notable Imprint. We Thursa girls use that loo too, and we have never been more enthusiastic about one of his bathroom decisions.

The whole family is on board now. The teenager is getting her own bottle for her bathroom and peace shall be restored across the Gormley loos.

Using it is easy. Flush, add a few drops from the pipette to the toilet bowl and leave without that guilty little glance back at the closed door.

No aerosol fog. No sickly sweet floral smell desperately pretending nothing happened.

Because floral poo is still poo.

Saturday is looking VERY good at Thursa. 💚

If you’ve been thinking you might pop in for a wander, consider this your little nudge because there is SO much goodness inside right now.

Chocolate polka dots, the fabulous Lola Jacket back in chocolate, stacks of our new Nancy basic tees in all those gorgeous colours, fresh Polka Polly earrings and plenty of pieces you may have spotted on our socials this week.

And today you have a whole SIX HOURS to come and have a proper look. 🙌

Our new Saturday hours mean Thursa is OPEN 10–4 TODAY, which gives you plenty of time for a coffee, a wander around Victor, a little Coral Street visit and perhaps something new for yourself. Sounds like a rather excellent Saturday to me.

The huz is completely literal. I’m fluent in sarcasm. How we’ve survived this many years without an interpreter is anyone’s guess.

His literal brain regularly gets him into trouble and leaves me doubled over laughing while he shakes his head.

But one of those moments recently reminded me that every now and then, my sarcastic banter gets me too.

A little while ago, Lyn and I were chatting with a customer about The Coffee and Book Realm. We were raving about their gloriously smooth coffee and magnificent toasties, especially the Magic roast beef one with spinach and sweet chilli jam.

Then we moved on to Blake’s homemade cakes. I’m egg intolerant, so I can’t eat them myself, but I hear A LOT about those cakes.

Our customer announced that cake would NOT be good for her figure.

“Oh, who cares? Eat the cake,” I replied.

Apparently, she cared. She cared A LOT and was also absolutely NOT fluent in sarcasm. Eek.

Now, no one comes to Thursa for health advice. You come for friendly chat, fun fashion and a little cheeky commentary along the way. We do not take ourselves too seriously around here.

Bring your personality, a good sense of humour and perhaps a finely tuned eye roll for when I get a little carried away. Thursa is best enjoyed with all three.

After a well earned break, Blake and Gemma are back this week at The Coffee and Book Realm, brewing that gloriously smooth coffee and toasting those magnificent toasties. I wonder if there’s a fresh cake sitting on the counter?
