SUNDAY SOIREE ~ a fancy evening party (or, in fact, at any time of the morning, afternoon or evening) that dismisses the usual expectation that parties are best thrown on a Saturday. Are quite often glamorous & curated, but are nevertheless always relaxed, intimate & personal affairs with no botheration given to how other people throw parties. May or may not include excessive adornment but are always full of love, enchantment & festivity. Beautiful outfits ~ rarely brand new or predictable ~ abound, speaking to the unique character & styles of the guests and adding colour & radiance to this gathering of loved ones. 🤎

Each chose pink; each chose pre-loved; each celebrated our beautiful landscape; and yet each clearly did things their own way to mark this rather monumental moment.

Is anyone else wondering what a woman who has:

⭐️ a seemingly limitless budget;
⭐️ every designer in the world ready to design a dress for her;
⭐️ opportunities to wear incredible clothes and walk the red carpet all the time;
⭐️broken all the rules to do things her own way & been insanely successful at it; &
⭐️endlessley championed female empowerment;

chose to wear on her wedding day? I have to admit that I am really intrigued.

What were her priorities? Was it about setting fashion trends or flouting them? Did she go for sentimentality or tradition? Was it all about individuality? Did she choose what she thinks the people want?

Perhaps I'm over thinking it but I do wonder if even Taylor Swift faced the same worries most of us do when choosing a wedding dress....🤎

I could give you 738 reasons but Instagram wont let me, so I'll just give you my top 5.

1. Price. Lets take this Georgia Young Couture gown for example. Originally $6,000+, this unworn gown is available in store at $2,400. Same designer. Same craftsmanship. Same buttery soft fabric. That's not second best. That's more money for the honeymoon. Or extra guests. Or not blowing the budget.

2. No one else can tell. No one even has to know if you don't want them to. Honestly, no one really cares once they've found the dress they love.

3. Less pressure to chase perfection. I love this one. The mindset shift that comes with reducing the pressure that 'perfect' is the only way forward often leads to a more instinctive, more inspired & more joyful decision.

4. Beautiful dresses deserve more than one love story. Period.

5. Immediate availability. The dress you fall in love with is the dress you take home. Its also a lifesaver if the 6 - 12 month timeframe that new dresses often involve is not going to work for you.
