My passion for painting and revamping furniture using Annie Sloan Chalk paint first began around 10 years ago when my family needed to furnish our home on a budget. I quickly became a tiny bit 'obsessed' with painting and upcycling old furniture. I really love the fact that furniture can be transformed into vibrant bespoke pieces. Some of these items no doubt would of gone straight to landfill as

no longer loved. @ Furnishin Designs you also can help extend the lifespan of these once loved items with chalk paint, fresh fittings and unique transfers, stamps or stencils. By upcycling furniture you will not only have fun and save money you will also reduce our impact on the environment and reduce landfill. I am proud to be a stockist of Annie Sloan Chalk paint which is non toxic and virtually odour free with minimal VOCs, these attributes are definitely a good reason to paint on and on!!!. I also stock Annie Sloan waxes, brushes and stencils and am a stockist of Iron Orchid designs (IOD) stamps, transfers and moulds. CLOSING DOWN SALE

It is with very mixed feelings that I announce the closing down sale of our business! Ive been upcyling furniture since we emigrated to Australia from the UK in 2011. We opened our original shop in the middle of COVID in 2020, did really well and were able to move to bigger premises after 12mths, but with the financial climate the way it has been, especially in regional areas of Australia we have struggled for the last 6 mths so we have made the decision to move in another direction in our lives. We have no regrets about anything we have done, our lives have been enriched by this experience, we have met so many amazing people and we thank everyone who has supported our small business in any shape or form! Thank you everyone!! We will be offering up to 50% off all stock until sold out…..get on and get yourself a bargain!! Our store will be open Saturdays and Sundays until stock sold and online 24/7.
We will still be upcyling but in a more relaxed fashion from now on.

Finally Finished and it’s back in its home!! Yay!
So excited to say that this piece is done and am so happy with the transformation. Rachel entrusted me to makeover her Grandmothers cabinet. Lots of careful thought went into the colour scheme and the IOD Paint Inlays were an add on at the end and so pleased we went with that choice as they really make the piece pop and add some extra originality to it!!
It was touch and go with the weather and rain but she’s now back home and I am so pleased to say Rachel and Tim love her…..🙂

We are taking a short break from tomorrow to head up to the sunshine coast for Hayley and Darren’s wedding (aka ) We cannot wait and feel very privileged to be going. Hayley has been my main inspiration for getting into this business and has been very open and supportive throughout our journey and we are very thankful for all of her advice and inspiration on our journey!!
