Most days I’m at the bench, working my way through on hat, then the next one after that. But every now and then I look up and realise they’re starting to pile up behind me.

This year has been a big one. Bigger than I ever expected.

There have been long days, late nights, plenty of challenges, a workshop that’s rarely seen an empty work bench and a shop floor that’s looking bare. But most of all, there’s been an incredible amount of support from people who value handmade craftsmanship and share a love of a quality, perfectly fitting hat.

So while the stack behind me can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, it’s also a reminder of how lucky I am to do this for a living.

Thank you for keeping me busy. Thank you for trusting me with your heads. And thank you for being part of the Feather & Drum club.

Meet “Punch” — our limited series hat in Granite grey currently one in each size available on our 🕸️ site

Inspired by classic industrial workwear and those old black-and-white photos where everyone was rocking a good hat on their way to work. Punch is built as an everyday lid. Small brimmed, unpretentious and slightly scrunchable, it’s made to be lived in.

The featherweight 115g felt keeps it light and malleable, making it just as comfortable indoors at the bench, studio or workshop as it is out in the sun. Flip the brim up while you work, then drop it down when you head outside to keep the glare out of your eyes.

Loved by photographers, artists, archers and saxophone players alike.
