So things have looked a little different at FAAB of late... you may or may not have noticed.
Our doors have still be open daily with our gorgeous friendly staff in there holding down the fort and keeping things running smoothly, but I have been a little M.I.A.
I have been working daily behind the scenes but “showing up” has been hard.
The last few years have been ALOT... and if I want to go back further we can throw a pandemic in there too, but given the recent events in my life, the pandemic was nothing.
Losing both parents in 2 years has been incredibly hard. Incredibly.
To begin I did my usual, push on, until I couldn’t.
Not one to ask for help or back down, I felt enormous guilt (and still do) for not being in store each day.
But if life has shown me one thing lately, it’s that it’s as important to step away sometimes as it is push through at others.
This isn’t a pity post but simply a reminder to all (including me) to take time where you need to + to cherish your parents and families.
They really are the most important thing in life.
So whilst my head still only feels slightly above water, just know I’m treading my way back up slowly and FAAB has lots to look forward to in the future and so do I.
To all my fellow treader’s ... I see you.
