I’m so grateful to Shannen for having me as a panelist for the Fashion & Textiles in the Caribbean dialogue. It was a pleasure to be in such an intimate and thoughtful space where designers’ voices could be heard by leaders, like Head of Goverment Affairs at PVBLIC Foundation, Ashaki Goodwin and her team.

To sit next to the trailblazing CEO of Sophie, Shannen and CEO of Adlai and have my voice be heard, has changed my brain chemistry. It was truly an honor. What a great way to start La Vern’s year!

We have to overcome so much as designers in the Caribbean and yet we continue to accomplish so much. Imagine us with much stronger support systems, resources and global connectivity 😍

I’m hopeful that the conversations shared will help mobilize meaningful programs and regional hubs to support our collective progress toward a prosperous future for Caribbean fashion.
