Shoukhin, nakshi kantha is proud to carry on the legacy of many generations and nourish the dreams and emotional stories of the village women of Bangladesh.
Shoukhin nakshi kantha’s (Duvet, Continental Quilt, Comforter, Bedspread) are pure combination of art and craft made by Bangladeshi village women. Each switch reflects their emotions, inspirations, aspirations, feelings and sensation of joy or sorrow. Each comforter has its own story and dream attached to it.
Shoukhin nakshi kantha’s are 100% handmade, and are made from fully natural cotton fibres. Threads used for embroidery are either cotton or rayon which is regenerated from natural fibres produced from bamboo. These quilts are comfortable, long-lasting and safe from hazards. It displays their artistic mind and knowledge of the ancient design. Their gifted fingers made something to the world that is recognized for centuries.
