১। করোনা ভাইরাস বিশালাকৃতির ভাইরাস, যার কোষের প্রস্থ ৪০০-৫০০ মাইক্রোমিটার। সুতরাং যে কোনও মুখোশ (মাস্ক) যেটা এই আকারের বস্তুকে প্রতিহত করতে পারে সেটা ব্যবহার করলেই হবে, ফার্মাসিস্টদের কাছে যাওয়ার প্রয়োজন নেই।
২। ভাইরাসটি বায়ুবাহী নয়, আকারে বড় ও ভারী বলে এটা মাটিতে পড়ে থাকে।
৩। করোনা ভাইরাস যখন ধাতব কোনো পৃষ্ঠের উপর পড়ে তখন এটি ১২ ঘন্টা পর্যন্ত বাঁচতে পারে। কাপড়ের উপরে পড়লে ৯ ঘন্টা, সরাসরি শরীরে লাগলে ১০ মিনিট পর্যন্ত বাঁচতে পারে। তাই সাবান এবং পানি দিয়ে ভালভাবে জামাকাপড়, শরীর পরিষ্কার করলে করোনাভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ প্রতিহত করা সম্ভব।
৪। যদি ভাইরাসটি ২২°-২৭° ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস তাপমাত্রায় চলে আসে তবে এটি মারা যাবে, কারণ এটি গরম অঞ্চলে বাস করে না। এছাড়াও গরম পানি খেলে এবং সূর্যের আলোয় থাকলে করোনাভাইরাস কার্যকর হতে পারে না।
৫। আইসক্রিম থেকে দূরে থাকুন এবং ঠান্ডা আবহাওয়া পরিহার করুন।
৬। উষ্ণ- লবণপানিতে গার্গল করলে করোনাভাইরাস মরে যায় এবং টনসিল ও ফুসফুসে প্রবেশ করতে পারে না।
এই ছয়টি উপায় মেনে চললে বাংলাদেশে করোনা ভাইরাস প্রতিরোধ করা সম্ভব।
