৪০ বছরে পা দেবার ১ মাস সম্পূর্ণ হলো আজ; ছবি গুলো পুরনো। সকালে ঘুম ভেঙে শর্বাণী দিদির সাথে অনেকদিন পর ফোনে কথা বলতে গিয়ে আবারও একটু দ্বিধা কাজ করলো; চেষ্টা করছিলাম কথার খৈ হারিয়ে ফেললেও যেন যেই টপিকে কথা শুরু করেছিলাম, সেখানে যেন mindfully ফেরত আসতে পারি; its as if my thoughts are like a tree growing multiple branches at an incredible speed, and I have to keep returning to the root. গত দেড়-দু বছর ধরে এটা একটু বেশি খেয়াল করলাম নিজের মধ্যে, আমার খুব সম্ভব এটেনশন ডিসঅর্ডার আছে, যদিও undiagnosed. করোনাভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হবার পরে মনে হতো সব কিছু খুব দ্রুত গতিতে ভুলে যাচ্ছি। কাজের চাপে কিংবা অনেক মানুষের ভীড় ভীষণভাবে আমার ব্রেইনকে overstimulated করে দিতো, ভাবতাম এটা burnt out এর লক্ষন। আগের মতো মেন্টাল-হেলথ নিয়ে লেখালেখি বন্ধ করেছি কারন মনের ভাব প্রকাশ না করার মধ্যে কিংবা জ্ঞ্যান বিতরণ না-করার মধ্যেও এক ধরনের growth আছে বলে মনে করেছি। আমি লক্ষ্য করলাম, আমি নিজে বদলে গিয়েছি। The last few years of my 30s made me realise that I always have a choice. তাই কারো সাথে কথা বলার মাঝে আমি কথার খৈ হারিয়ে ফেলেছি টের পাবার পরে আবার সেই শুরুতে ফিরে যেতে পারলেই আমি খুশি হয়ে যাচ্ছি, কারন i successfully choose to come back where i started the conversation. আহা, এর মধ্যে বেশ প্রশান্তি আছে, এই mindfulness প্র‍্যাক্টিস করা আমার কাছে এখন ভিষণ বড় achievement মনে হয়। কি অদ্ভুত আজকালের আনন্দ গুলো!
