Pantone TCX আসলে কী❓
Pantone TCX = Textile Cotton eXtended
এটা Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors (FHI) সিস্টেমের অংশ।
T = Textile,C = Cotton, X = Extended color range
অর্থাৎ, TCX হলো 100% cotton কাপড়ে প্রিন্ট করা ফিজিক্যাল কালার স্ট্যান্ডার্ড,
যেটা টেক্সটাইল ডাইং, প্রিন্টিং ও ফিনিশিংয়ের জন্য রেফারেন্স হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
কিন্তু TCX মানে এই না যে এটা শুধু কটনেই ব্যবহার হবে—
এটা cotton substrate-এ তৈরি reference,
কিন্তু আমরা এটাকে polyester, viscose, blend—সব ক্ষেত্রেই shade matching reference হিসেবে ব্যবহার করি।
TPX আর TCX পার্থক্য।
TPX হচ্ছে পুরনো সিস্টেম (paper-based textile reference)
TCX হচ্ছে updated ও স্ট্যান্ডার্ড সিস্টেম (cotton fabric based)
বর্তমানে Industry standard হলো TCX
Pantone নাম্বারের গঠন (Textile Color বুঝতে)
যেমন
Pantone 19-1664 TCX
এখানে:
19 → Color depth / Light–Dark level
1664 → Hue family ও variation
TCX → Textile cotton Standard
Light থেকে Dark — Pantone নাম্বার কীভাবে কাজ করে?
এই অংশটাই সবচেয়ে বেশি কনফিউশন হয়।
প্রথম দুই ডিজিট (যেমন 11, 12, 13…19)
এগুলো Lightness / Depth Level বোঝায়।
সাধারণ নিয়ম (Textile practical view) তে যদি বলি--
11 – 12 → Very Light / Pastel shade
13 – 14 → Light shade
15 – 16 → Medium shade
17 – 18 → Dark shade
19 → Very Dark / Deep shade
তার মানে হচ্ছে Number যত বাড়বে, shade তত ডার্ক হবে।
তাই 19 লাইট না—
19 মানে সবচেয়ে ডিপ কালার রেঞ্জ
উদাহরণ:
Pantone 14-0852 TCX → Light Yellow
Pantone 16-1459 TCX → Medium Orange
Pantone 19-4052 TCX → Very Dark Blue (Classic Blue)
পরের চার ডিজিট (Hue বোঝায়)
যেমন 1664, 4052, 0852
এগুলো দিয়ে বোঝায়:
Red / Yellow / Blue / Green family
Shade variation within same hue
এই নাম্বার দেখে অভিজ্ঞ dyeing person অনেক সময় আন্দাজ করতে পারে—
কালারটা warm না cool, bright না dull।
Textile Dyeing এ বাস্তব ব্যবহার
Pantone TCX ব্যবহার হয়:
Buyer color standard হিসেবে
Lab dip matching
Shade approval
Bulk production monitoring
Re-order consistency নিশ্চিত করতে
কিন্তু একজন Textile Engineer জানে— Pantone হলো reference, guarantee না।
Final shade depend করে:
Fiber type
Dye class
Process control
Finishing

** Left Hand Twill (LHT) **

** Broken Twill**

Breaking away from the traditional diagonal pattern, broken twill alternates left and right twills, creating a zig-zag effect. Wrangler and Edwin are among the brands that have adopted broken twill.
