২৮ বছর সংসার করার পর আমার এক পরিচিত আপু ডিভোর্সে যাচ্ছেন কারণ তার মনে হয়েছে সে লাভ বোম্বিং— এর শিকার ছিল।

মিষ্টি মোড়কে ভয়ংকর ফাঁদ
লাভ বোম্বিং—শব্দটা শুনতে যতটা রোমান্টিক লাগে, এর পেছনের বাস্তবতা ততটাই অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন।

এটি কোনো নিছক ভালোবাসার প্রকাশ নয়, বরং এক ধরনের মনস্তাত্ত্বিক কৌশল (psychological manipulation) যা অত্যন্ত ক্ষতিকর হতে পারে।
যেভাবে কাজ করে লাভ বোম্বিং
ভাবুন তো, আপনার জীবনে এমন একজন মানুষ এলো যে হঠাৎ করেই আপনাকে অঢেল ভালোবাসা, মনোযোগ, প্রশংসা আর উপহারে ভরিয়ে দিল।

আপনার মনে হতে পারে, "আহা! এমন মানুষই তো আমি সারা জীবন খুঁজেছি!" সে আপনার প্রতি এতটাই যত্নশীল আচরণ করবে যে মনে হবে যেন সে আপনার জন্যই তৈরি হয়েছে। রাতারাতি আপনার দুনিয়াটা যেন ভালোবাসার বন্যায় ভেসে যাবে। এটাই হলো লাভ বোম্বিংয়ের প্রথম ধাপ— তীব্র মুগ্ধতা এবং আসক্তি (intense idealization and addiction) তৈরি করা।

যখন মুখোশটা খুলে যায়
কিন্তু এই মধুচন্দ্রিমা চিরস্থায়ী হয় না। যখন আপনি পুরোপুরি তার ওপর মানসিকভাবে নির্ভরশীল (emotionally dependent) হয়ে পড়বেন এবং তার প্রতি অভ্যস্ত হয়ে উঠবেন, তখনই খেলাটা পাল্টে যাবে। হঠাৎ করেই সে দূরে সরে যাবে, যোগাযোগ কমিয়ে দেবে, বিরক্তি প্রকাশ করবে, এমনকি আপনাকে দোষারোপ করা শুরু করবে।

আপনি হতবিহ্বল হয়ে ভাববেন, "আমি কি এমন কিছু ভুল করলাম?" এই পর্যায়ে আপনার আত্মবিশ্বাস ভেঙে যায় এবং নিজেকে দোষী মনে হতে থাকে।
এক ধরনের নিয়ন্ত্রণ কৌশল
আসলে, লাভ বোম্বিং হলো এক ধরনের নিয়ন্ত্রণ কৌশল (control technique)। যারা এই খেলায় পারদর্শী, তারা জানে কীভাবে একজন মানুষকে দ্রুত তাদের জালে জড়াতে হয়। তাদের উদ্দেশ্য হলো আপনাকে মানসিকভাবে দুর্বল (mentally vulnerable) করে তোলা, যাতে আপনি তাদের কথায় ওঠাবসা করেন।

একবার আপনি তাদের ওপর সম্পূর্ণ নির্ভরশীল হয়ে পড়লে, তারা আপনার আবেগ, সিদ্ধান্ত এবং এমনকি আপনার জীবনকেও নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে চাইবে।
নিজেকে সুরক্ষিত রাখুন
দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্যি, বর্তমানে অনেকেই এই লাভ বোম্বিংয়ের শিকার হচ্ছেন।

মনে রাখবেন, যে ভালোবাসা হঠাৎ করে বিস্ফোরিত হয়, তা হঠাৎ করেই মিলিয়ে যেতে পারে। ধীরে ধীরে গড়ে ওঠা সম্পর্কই (relationships built over time) দীর্ঘস্থায়ী হয় এবং সত্যিকারের গভীরতা পায়। তাই কারও অতিরিক্ত যত্ন বা প্রশংসায় মুগ্ধ হয়ে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়ার আগে সতর্ক হন।

নিজেকে প্রশ্ন করুন, এই যত্ন কি genuine, নাকি এর পেছনে কোনো উদ্দেশ্য লুকিয়ে আছে? নিজের অনুভূতি আর মানসিক স্বাস্থ্যের প্রতি সচেতন থাকাটা সবচেয়ে জরুরি।
