In The Netherlands, the ERP Decree now requires brands to take
responsibility for textile waste through structured reuse and recycling targets:
• 50% reuse + recycling by 2025
• 75% by 2030 with fiber-to-fiber recycling climbing from 25% to 33%

For many, this marks a new chapter.

The industry had a problem long before change had a name:
• 3–10% of global CO2 emissions came from textiles.
• Cotton was renewable, but highly resource–intensive.
• 20% of all fabric became waste before reaching consumers.

In 2010, SIMCO Spinning & Textile began turning waste into new fibers; proof that recycling could be premium.

And in 2014, CYCLO was born to scale that vision: transforming
pre-consumer cotton waste into high-quality recycled yarns and proving that circularity isn’t a trend, it’s a better system.

Waste wasn’t the end of the story. We turned it into the start of a revolution.
