And just like that, it was our last day in Bangkok. After all the work and exploring of the last few days, we decided to take it slow. A lazy morning, lots of coffee, and aimless wandering. Maybe a little shopping at some incredible local stores. So, naturally, we went to Ari.

And guess what? We still ended up walking. A lot. Again. Bangkok somehow just makes you want to walk to everywhere. There’s always something interesting waiting around the next corner, or some amazing food being sold from a cart in the next alley.

It’s the small pleasures that get you. Finding a cool little store and spending far too much time inside, then stumbling upon the best Americano we’ve ever had in the next alley. Wandering through galleries filled with the work of incredible local artists. No photos allowed inside, unfortunately. You’ll just have to take our word for it.

And that was Bangkok.
Until next time. Maybe a new city, or maybe the same one again. We humans are quite fond of coming back to the things we love, after all.

The second day was all about exploring. No work, no plans, just a long day of walking around and seeing where the city takes us. We spent almost the entire day around the Old Town, which, if you haven’t been, feels like stepping into a different time. Old shophouses, temples, little cafés and streets, each with a story of its own.

We found quite a few hidden gems along the way, made new friends, and we ate. A lot. Mostly at small places tucked away in quiet corners, filled with locals. As Bourdain put it, “You learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together". You were right, Tony.

The more we saw, the more we realized just how multifaceted this city is. There’s the fast, bustling Bangkok we saw yesterday, and then there’s this entirely different side we found today, almost stuck in another era. Somehow, this city always has something for everyone.

We wonder what else we’ll find tomorrow.

The first day was mostly taken up by work, so there wasn’t much room for sightseeing. We made the most of the BTS, partly to escape the Bangkok traffic, but mostly for Nostalgia. And we walked. A lot. (Which was intentional, believe it or not.)

For all its noise and chaos, there’s a strange sense of peace here. Like you’re away from all the worries of the world, and your whole life is ahead. Maybe it’s the city, or maybe it’s just us romanticizing everything. (Which we are guilty of, given how we spent a good half hour just watching the traffic go by.)

We took the afternoon ferry along the Chao Phraya. Crowded, yet somehow so quiet. Every now and then, a soft breeze would come through, and all of us would just sit there and take it in. Not a bad way to end the day, huh?

Now that work is done, we still have two more days left to explore the city. Can’t wait to share more with you!

This is the rarest and most unique fabric we have used till date.

Vicuña, often called the “fiber of the Gods,” comes from wild Vicuñas found exclusively in the Andes mountains. For centuries, it was reserved for the Inca emperors and royal families, the only few permitted to wear this exquisite fabric.

While certainly an indulgence and one of the most luxurious fibres in history, Vicuña isn’t our go-to recommendation for most people, even for those with means. But we wanted to share the story of this exquisite historical fabric with you today.

Pictured is a bespoke suit (only the jacket here) made from Super 210’s wool blended with 8% Vicuña. The super fine merino wool is combined with just enough Vicuña to create a cloth that is delicate and buttery soft, while retaining the durability and longevity expected from fine wool.
